Our Mission Oath

Every Veteran.
Every Roof. No Exceptions.

Who

U.S. military veterans in Albany and Augusta, Georgia facing housing instability, homelessness, or an impossible transition back to civilian life. Every branch. Every era. If you served, you are who we are here for.

What

Safe, income-based transitional and permanent housing. A dedicated case manager. Federally funded SSVF and VASP programs that can cover housing costs entirely. No wall we will not help you climb.

Where

South Georgia. We are rooted in Albany and Augusta. If you are outside those cities, call us anyway we will work every referral and resource we have to get you help wherever you are.

When

Now. Not when the paperwork clears. The moment you contact Golden Valor, your case is open. SSVF rapid rehousing can move in days. We do not put veterans on waitlists.

Why

Because 37,000 veterans sleep outside every night. Because it does not have to be that way. This is our mission. This is our post. We are not leaving it.

Both Lead Home.

Every veteran has a different mission ahead. Some need quiet. Some need connection. Golden Valor provides both. Two unit types. One community. You call the shots.

All housing is income-based. No veteran is turned away because of finances. SSVF and VASP programs can cover your housing costs entirely.

Shared Housing Amenities

Our shared properties are built for more than just shelter. Veterans live alongside brothers and sisters who understand the mission. Properties include amenities like on-site gyms, arcade rooms, pool tables, and recreation spaces — because rebuilding civilian life means having a community, not just an address. Currently available in Augusta, GA.

"I came in with nothing. No address, no plan. Within three months I was in stable housing with structure around me again. That feeling of having a base of operations changed everything."

"After 12 years in the Corps, civilian life felt like operating without a unit. Golden Valor gave me a shared unit with other veterans. I was not starting over alone."

"The VASP program placed me in a permanent home in under 60 days. My case manager was squared away and handled the whole operation. All I had to do was show up."

"I chose the solo operator unit. My own space after years of barracks life was exactly what I needed. But knowing other veterans were in the building was the right kind of security."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be homeless to qualify?

No. SSVF serves veterans who are currently homeless AND those at imminent risk of losing housing. If your situation is unstable, apply and we will assess your options immediately.

How much does it cost?

Under VASP, veterans typically pay about 30% of income and the voucher covers the rest. Under SSVF, rental assistance can cover costs entirely during your transition. Many veterans pay zero out of pocket.

Can I choose between a solo unit and a shared unit?

Yes. Both options are available depending on unit availability at your location. Tell us your preference at intake and we will match you to the right unit.

How fast can I get into housing?

SSVF rapid rehousing can move within days depending on availability. VASP permanent placement typically takes 30 to 90 days for voucher processing. We start working your case from the first call.

What branches and eras of service do you serve?

All branches, all eras. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard. Vietnam through present day. If you served, this is your program.

Do you only operate in Albany and Augusta?

We are focused on South Georgia Albany and Augusta. If you are outside those cities, still reach out. We will exhaust every option and every referral connection to get you housed somewhere. No veteran gets turned away without a fight.
